“Como parte de los proyectos beneficiados en la convocatoria Mis Proyectos 2025, Plegarias del Desierto explora las grietas del fenómeno migratorio México–Estados Unidos a través del archivo fotográfico familiar y la tradición textil del hogar mexicano, creando una ventana que permite dialogar de forma íntima con uno de los procesos sociales más transformadores de las últimas décadas.
Se trata de un tributo, a los padres que vuelan lejos, y a las madres que se quedan, a anidar, a construir.”

“As part of the projects benefiting from the My Projects 2025 call, Prayers of the Desert explores the rifts of the Mexico-United States migration phenomenon through family photographic archives and the textile traditions of the Mexican home, creating a window that allows for an intimate dialogue with one of the most transformative social processes of recent decades.
It is a tribute to the fathers who fly away, and to the mothers who stay behind, to nest, to build.”
